Entry Requirements


Description
At least five (5) subjects at CSEC General Proficiency (Grades I, II, or III) or GCE "O" Level (Grades A, B, or C). Subjects must include English Language, Mathematics and CSEC Information Technology. Students without CSEC Information Technology (IT) or CSEC Electronic Document Preparation and Management (EDPM) will be admitted but MUST register for, and pass UGC1101- Computer Literacy 1.
A Diploma in Computer Science or an Associate of Science in Computer Science or Associate Science in Information Technology or Associate of Science in Information Systems.
A Trained Teachers' Certificate (Secondary Mathematics Option).
Certificate in Industrial and Social Studies from Critchlow Labour College (CLC) together with a pass at the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE).
Ordinary Diploma in Computer Science (ODCS); pass with Credit at the GTEE level.
Ordinary Diploma in Science (ODS); pass with Credit at the GTEE level.
Mature age (26 years and over), sound education background, together with a Pass at the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE).
Any qualification considered by the University to be equivalent to any of the above.

Students with the Associate of Science IT (7102) progressing to the new degree (7201) in Computer Science must do this course, CSE 1101 and CSE 2100.
