Entry Requirements


Description
Passes in five (5) subjects at CSEC (General Proficiency) Examination with grades I, II, or III (III after 1998) (or equivalent) and must include English Language, Mathematics, and at least one of the following science subjects: Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry or Integrated Science (single award)
Passes in three (3) subjects at CSEC (General Proficiency) Examination, grades I, II, or III (or equivalent) which must include English Language, Mathematics, and at least one of the following science subjects: Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry or integrated Science (single award), together with the Government of Guyana Rehabilitation Assistant Certificate, obtained through the 18 months programme offered by the Ministry of Health, Georgetown. The certificate must been obtained with a minimum of 60% in both the written and practical sessions with a minimum of three (3) years experience as a Rehabilitation Assistant must have been served. They must also write the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE).
Mature students (26 years and over) will be considered for admission to the programme provided that they have two (2) subjects at CSEC (General Proficiency) Examination, grades I, II, or III (or equivalent) which must include English Language, a Science subject or Mathematics and three (3) years continuous relevant experience. They must also write the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE).
