| A Candidate for the Diploma in Valuation must have obtained at least five (5) subjects with Grades I or II prior to 1998 or I-III from 1998 at the CSEC (General Proficiency Examinations) or GCE 'O' Levels Grades A-C. Subjects must include English Language and Mathematics. |
| A Diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution. |
| A Government Technical Institute (GTI) Diploma in Land Surveying and two (2) Years credible work experience. |
| Sworn Land Surveyor's Certificate |
| Mature applicants (26 Years and over) who do not possess the qualifications but have credible work experience in the field, plus a 'Pass' at the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE), will be considered for admission. |
| Any other qualifications deemed acceptable by the University plus a Portfolio. |
| A Certificate in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution. |
| Applicants who do not meet any of the above-stated entry requirements but possess a minimum of five (5) years of professional and practical experience working in a relevant institution, plus a Portfolio. |
