| A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree from the University of Guyana which is at or above the level of Pass with Credit. |
| (i) Any other first Degree from the University of Guyana at or above the level of Pass with Credit AND a Diploma in Education.
(ii) Any other first Degree with a Pass only AND a Distinction at the Diploma in Education

| A first Degree from any other approved University which is equivalent to that at (1). |
| A Degree and a Diploma equivalent to those at (2). |
| To be in a Senior Administrator position with other qualifications and experience deemed appropriate by the School of Education & Humanities and approved by the Board of Graduate Studies. |
| Any qualification considered by the University to be equivalent to any of the above. |
