Entry Requirements

Description
Three (3) passes at GCE 'A' Levels (at Least Grade C) or the CAPE (at Least Grade III), one of which must be Biology or Associate Degree CAPE with specialization in the Sciences (Natural Sciences).
An Ordinary Diploma in Science (Biology Option) with a 'Pass with Credit' from Government Technical Institute.
A minimum of five (5) subjects at CSEC General Proficiency (at least Grade III) or GCE 'O' Level (at least Grade C). These subject offerings must include, English Language, Mathematics, Biology or (Human & Social Biology) and one (1) other Science subject. (Note: Agricultural Science and Food & Nutrition are not accepted as science subjects).
A Diploma in Agriculture (Pass with Credit) from The Guyana School of Agriculture.
A Diploma or Associate Degree in Medical Technology.
Associate Degree in Pharmacy.
Associate Degree in Biology from a recognized Tertiary Level Institution with a minimum GPA of 2.0
An Ordinary Diploma in Science (Biology Option) with a 'Pass', in addition to a minimum of three (3) passes at CSEC (or equivalent), must include Mathematics and a Science subject. (Note: Agricultural Science and Food & Nutrition are not accepted as Science subjects in Faculty of Natural Science (FNS).
A Trained Teachers' Certificate or Associate Degree in Education with a specialization in Sciences.
Mature applicant (26 years and over) who has evidence of adequate exposure to Biology and/or Integrated Science together with a 'Pass' at the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE).
