The secretary provides essential administrative support in ensuring smooth office operations by preparing and managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and providing basic assistance to staff, students and visitors. He/She acts as the central point of contact, handling phone calls, emails, filing, and document preparation to enhance the faculty’s productivity.
Requirements:
A Professional Secretaries Diploma / Diploma in Public Management or a closely related field
OR
Four CSEC Subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English (Grades I-III) plus a minimum one (1) year of experience as a Clerk/Typist II.
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent organizing and time management skills
- Good at typing, proof-reading, filing, and data retrieval
- Proficient in the use of modern educational technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidential, ethical and empathetic in the handling matters pertaining to staff, students and visitors
Salary Scale: UB4: $137,998 – $199,961
