LECTURERS
Minimum Requirements:
● Native Speaker of the relevant language
● At least a Master’s degree in Linguistics or Language Education and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education, plus two years of teaching experience
● Teaching experience in the language will be an asset
TUTORS
Minimum Requirements:
● Native Speaker of the relevant language
● BEd. Degree (Pass with Distinction or Credit) plus five years of teaching experience OR
● BSc. or BA Degree (Pass with Distinction or Credit) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education, plus five years of teaching experience
● Teaching experience in the language will be an asset
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
⮚ Ability to teach and supervise using new and innovative virtual learning modes and
techniques is a requirement
⮚ Expertise in synchronous and asynchronous course delivery and facilitating autonomous
off-campus learning and experimentation
⮚ Skills to promote critical thinking, reflective, and self-correcting teaching and research
practice
⮚ Exhibit strong communication and cultural competence, and the capacity to foster
positive relationships across diverse groups of students
⮚ Ability to utilise modern technologies in education, student learning management systems, and
other virtual learning modes of delivery
⮚ Ability to collaborate well with teams of diverse lecturers and staff
⮚ Committed to work part-time for a maximum of 10 hours per week between 8 am – 10
pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am – 6 pm on Saturdays or Sundays
⮚ Available for face-to-face engagements and laboratory/field work during Christmas,
Easter, and/or August school vacation
