University of Guyana Graduation 2023 - Safety and Health

Advisory General Safety Precautions: 

1. Crowd Safety: When attending the University of Guyana's Graduation  ceremony, please be aware of your surroundings and be respectful of fellow  attendees. Avoid pushing or shoving, and be considerate of those around you. If  you are travelling with children, ensure they stay close to you at all times and are  under your supervision. Report any suspicious behaviour to a security personnel. 

2. In Case of Emergencies: Familiarise yourself with the venue's emergency exits  and evacuation routes. In case of an emergency, remain calm and exit the premises  in an orderly manner, following instructions from the event staff. 

3. Masks: While face masks are entirely optional, you are welcome to wear them if  you feel more comfortable doing so. If you choose to wear a mask, please ensure it  covers your nose and mouth properly. Masks can help reduce the spread of  respiratory droplets. 

4. Sanitising: Hand sanitising stations will be available throughout the venue.  Regularly use the hand sanitiser to maintain good hand hygiene. 

5. If you feel unwell, have COVID-19 symptoms, or have been in contact with  someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, we kindly request that you  consider your health and the health of others and refrain from attending the event. 

6. First Aid/ Medical Assistance: Medical personnel will be on-site to assist with any  medical emergencies. Locate the nearest first-aid station if you require assistance.
