The University of Guyana celebrates completion of 10 years of offering online services on the 19th April 2019. Students Records Management System (SRMS) was opened for Online Applications on the 19th April 2009.

Prior to this, Prospective Students, Current Students and Alumni had to make their applications on paper for various students services. After the launch of SRMS, many features like Registration for courses, Leave of Absence, Change of Registration, Exemptions, Transfers, Programme Withdrawals, Transcript Applications, Payment Options, etc were added in a phased manner.

The University of Guyana Berbice Campus (UGBC), in collaboration with the National
Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (NAREI), Guyana School of Agriculture
(GSA), and the Nand Persaud Group of Companies, hosted a three-day workshop on
‘Preparation and uses of various bio-fertilisers’ aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills
of students and practitioners in the agriculture sector.

UG’s Faculty of Education and Humanities Honours Outstanding Performers for 2023

The University of Guyana's Faculty of Education and Humanities (FEH) recently hosted its Annual Awards and Prize-giving Ceremony to honour outstanding performers across various fields within the faculty. The event which was held at the University's George Walcott Lecture Theatre (GWLT), Turkeyen Campus, saw over 100 students who have secured a GPA of 3.7 and above earning a place on the prestigious Dean’s Honour Roll.
