Summary

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for full-time Academic positions within the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences to teach in the following areas of specialization:

Qualification, Knowledge and Experience

(i) Lecturer I

At least a master's Degree the in area of specialization plus five (5) years teaching experience with large classes. Tertiary level teaching in accredited programmes will be an asset.

(ii) Lecturer II

At least a Ph.D. in the area of specialization or a Master’s Degree in the area of specialization plus two research publications. Tertiary level teaching and research supervision in accredited programmes, along with a scholarly record of activities within the discipline will be an asset.

 

Salary

SALARY SCALES:

  • Lecturer I – UA2: $345,209 – $518,309
  • Lecturer II – UA3: $426,442 – 619,835

Note: Appointment level and placement in appropriate salary scales are determined by level of qualification, experience and research publications.

Benefits currently include non-taxable housing and travelling allowances, contributory medical and pension schemes; gratuity and entertainment allowance (where applicable), study/sabbatical leave (whichever is applicable); leave passage and Academic Materials allowance.
