| Bachelor of Education with a Pass with Credit or higher. |
| A Bachelor Degree in another subject area plus the Graduate Diploma in Education (Dip. Ed.) |
| Any other equivalent qualification. |
| Candidates may also be admitted under the General Regulations with other qualifications and experience approved by the Board of Graduates Studies. |
| Candidates whose first degree was not in Education may be admitted and required to do additional recommended courses in Education. AND For candidates who did not major in Education at the University of Guyana (i.e from other institutions, or from other Faculties at the UG); Two academic references from academic supervisors, lecturers or other persons who can provide an assessment of the candidate's suitability to pursue a graduate programme in Education. |
