Gender on the Frontlines Conference: Extended Abstract Submission Deadline and Keynote Speaker Video
Wednesday, June 24, 2026 - 09:19Tamùkke Feminists, in partnership with the University of Guyana's Institute of Gender Studies, invites you to participate in the upcoming Gender on the Frontlines Feminist Conference, which will be held on August 17–18, 2026, at the University of Guyana's Turkeyen Campus under the theme "Roles, Risks and Urgency in a Changing Environment."
We are pleased to share a video message from the conference's keynote speaker, Dr. Maya Trotz, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of South Florida. Drawing on her extensive work with coastal communities across the Caribbean and the United States, Dr. Trotz reflects on the connections between environmental change, health, risk, resilience, and community knowledge.
