The Lab Manager oversees and ensures the optimal operation of the Department’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) & Remote Sensing (RS) Laboratory and its equipment, supporting research, instruction, and technical staff.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Geospatial Science (GIS), or a closely related field.
Plus
- A minimum two (2) years of relevant post-qualification professional experience in technical IT support, systems administration, or laboratory operations. *Experience with GIS or remote sensing software will be an asset.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in the installation and configuration of specialised GIS software and servers
- Familiar with Windows networking, shared drives, and local area networking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High sense of responsibility and accountability
- Keen attention to details in maintaining logs and inventory records
Salary Scale: UA1: $304,602 - $467,527
