Fill the form on the computer or by using a black ball point pen (Please do not leave any blank sections on the form, if a section is not applicable to you indicate with N/A).

Submit the completed application form, notorised copies of your educational qualifications and proof of engineering experience to the Secretary or any member of GAPE.

If your application is successful you will recieve an e- mail instructing you how to pay the reqired Fees.

Once payment is completed you will recieve a reciept and your certificate of membership.

How to upgrade membership

To upgrade your membership (for example, upgrading from Associate Member to Member) download the upgrade membership form below.

Submit the completed application form, notorised copies of your educational qualifications and proof of all your engineering experience to the Secretary or any member of GAPE.

Types of membership
These are the following categories of members:
- Fellow - To qualify for this category one must be distinguished by his work in engineering science and practice or must have rendered conspicuous service to the Association.
- Member - To qualify for this category of membership one must : -
- actually be engaged in the practice of professional engineering;
- possess a degree from a University or a School recognised by the Association or an equivalent qualification;
- have not less than five years experience as an Engineer in a responsible position, subsequent to obtaining his qualification;
- present a report describing his professional accomplishments (listing areas of speciality) and responsibilities since admission to the Grade of Associate Member. It must be authenticated by one of the candidate's seniors, such as Managing Director, Technical / Chief Engineer; Professor or Principal, who whenever possible, should be a Corporate Member of the Association;
- attend a Professional Interview conducted by a Panel, at the discretion of the Committee.
- Associate Member - To qualify for the grade of Associate Member, one must possess a Degree from a University or School of Engineering recognised by the Association or an equivalent qualification.
- Technician Engineer - To qualify for the Grade of Technician Engineer Member one must possess a Higher Technical Diploma from a University or School of Engineering recognised by the Association or an equivalent qualification.
- Engineering Technician - To qualify for the grade of Engineering Technician, one must possess a Diploma of Technology from the University of Guyana or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Association.
- Student Member - Anyone who is pursuing a course of study leading to the qualification which satisfies the requirements for admission to the class of Associate Member, Technician Engineer Member or Engineering Technician Member will qualify for this grade of Membership.
- Affiliate - A person will qualify for this grade of membership if he has knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and has been at least five years in a responsible position in engineering works, or through his pursuits, practical experience and close association with professional engineers is qualified to contribute to the advancement of engineering.
- Honorary Member - Honorary Membership may be conferred by the Executive Committee on persons who have attained eminence or rendered outstanding service in the field of engineering or science.
