The Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) is the weighted mean of the grade points of all the courses taken by a student in relation to the student's credit load.

G.P.A. = G (Course Credits X Grade Point)
                                G Course Credits

Example of G.P.A  computation

Course Grade Credit
Course 1 A 4
Course 2 A 4
Course 3 C 3
Course 4 B 2

         G.P.A = (4X4)+(4X4)+(2X3)+(3X2)     = 44 = 3.38 = 3.3 (not rounded off)
                                    (4+4+3+2)                      13
